Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi, one of the Maldives’ best surf resorts, has reopened its doors for guests and surf enthusiasts.

The resort is located on Lhohifushi island in North Malé Atoll, with one of the best surf breaks in the Maldives (and arguably in the world too). The Lohis is a private surf break that generates consistent, long stretching left-hander waves that break over the shallow housereef all year round.

Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi announced the property’s awaited opening on March 1, 2021, in an Instagram post.

“We cannot be more thrilled to welcome our guests back into our beautiful island ensuring they only leave with unforgettable memories that will last forever,”

Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi has a range of accommodation options; 61 Beach Villas, 38 Garden & Lohis Villas, 50 Deluxe Beach Villas, and 8 Family Beach Villas. And then there is a stretch of water villas on the northern tip of Lhohifushi island–20 Sunrise Ocean Villas and 20 Sunset Ocean Villas.

There are seven different restaurants and bars on the island, including international cuisine, Indian specialties, cocktail bars, beach dining with light meals, and an exclusive restaurant with international flavors for Ocean Villa guests.

In addition to surfing, there are tonnes of other activities one can get involved with at Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi, including diving; snorkeling; gym; Chinese reflexology; and sports such as table tennis, volleyball, badminton, football, and tennis.

Adaaran is a chain of resorts in Maldives, operated by the Sri Lankan hotel company Aitken Spence. Under the Adaaran brand, the company operates  Adaaran Club Rannaalhi on Malé Atoll Rannaalhi island, Adaaran Prestige Vadoo and Adaaran Prestige Water Villas at Vadoo island in Malé Atoll, Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi and Adaaran Prestige Ocean Villas at Lhohifushi island, and Adaaran Select Meedhupparu in Raa Atoll.
